This application for renewal of a Nigerian passport was made in January 2023 and the appointment for “data capture” is in March 2023 and the date of collection of passport possibly in another timetable. The premium costs brings no value to process.
Why are they capturing data for a renewal application within five years, what evolution will place in the space of five years to alter one’s data within this applicable timeframe.
If they are selling thirty and fifty pages passport why not sell ten years validity passport rather than the current five years.
In March 2023, I attended the interview for data capture and made to pay another £100 postal order and a prepaid envelope in my case £8 for my passport to be posted to me.
I have just in June 2023 received my passport from the Nigeria High Commission.
This is a journey that commenced in January 2023 and concluded in June 2023. It has taken six months to obtain a Nigerian passport at a cost of £223.14 excluding the cost of travel to and from the NHC and loss of earnings for the day.
The costs and timeframe for a Nigerian passport is highest level of assholery achievable by the Nigerian government and its High Commission in London.
