Edo people, take a close look at this so-called MoU that was proudly flashed on Arise TV.
Two signatures.
Signature 1: Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor.
Signature 2: Dr. Loretta Oduware Ogbobor, Director-General, Edo State Diaspora Agency.
And that’s it.
Not a single signature from EuroAfrica CCI, the supposed “investor” bringing in $250 million.
The MoU says it is between Edo State Government and EuroAfrica CCI.
But whose signatures are on it?
Not EuroAfrica CCI, apparently.
Only Edo’s Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, and Dr. Loretta; the “witness.”
So what exactly was signed?
A partnership between Edo State… and Edo State?
A deal with ourselves?
Now, let me dumb this down for Edo state government and its representatives: an MoU without the counterparty’s signature is invalid on arrival. It’s not worth the paper it’s written on. Yet this was paraded to Edo people and the world as a “landmark investment deal.”
This is not semantics. This is not “optics.”
This is deception.
First, they sold us “Deal Signed. Investment Secured.”
Now, under pressure, it’s downgraded to “MoU of Intent.”
And even that MoU carries only Edo government signatures.
This MoU is either fake, invalid, or pure make-believe.
And if this MoU is authentic, then it may just deserve a Guinness World Record as the only “agreement” in history signed entirely by one party and paraded as a $250M foreign investment.
Edo people deserve transparency, not stage-managed paperwork.
Show us the real investors. Show us their signatures. Show us the money.
Until then, this is not an investment. It’s an insult.
