My favorite pair of shoes are my heels the kind that instantly add three inches of confidence and five inches of attitude. They’ve taken me to weddings, date nights, grocery stores where I had no business dressing that cute, and at least one event where I deeply regretted cobblestone streets.
Wearing them feels powerful… for the first 47 minutes. After that, it becomes a spiritual journey of endurance. By the end of the night, I’m bargaining with God, promising to appreciate flats more if He just gets me back to my car safely.
But every time I slide them on, I stand taller, walk slower, and somehow feel like the main character in a movie. Painful? Yes. Worth it? Also yes. Because nothing says “I have my life together” quite like gracefully wobbling with confidence.
