Former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl died at the age of 87, Bild reported Friday. Kohl was one of the longest serving German leaders in history. He was the chancellor of West Germany from 1982, and oversaw German reunification in 1990. He served as the chancellor of a reunited Germany until 1998.
