An Old Chestnut

What’s a moment when a stranger completely restored your faith in people?

One’s faith never left so not a complete restoration as more of a reaffirmation of one’s faith in people. People are God walking amongst us all and we are God among others. To have faith removed is to deny our existence as God and in the holy trinity.

A shopkeeper previously unknown to me and me to him, gave me a travel pass when I had no means of returning home after my first job out of the charity of their heart. My dad’s old chestnut came back to me. God does not appear in person but is in people and one should remain grateful for any assistance, help and heads up by others. On that faithful day, I saw God in the shop keeper and my father’s words rang true and I whispered hallelujah.
