I’d rewrite the ending so accountability came sooner, with legal processes moving more swiftly and institutions acting decisively, helping prevent years of uncertainty and strengthening public trust in justice.

The AG was Obama’s candidate for the Supreme Court, maybe that judicial process thought process inhabited his decisions on the legal and political issues.
