Part 1: Economy, Crime, and Border Claims
“After the worst inflation in 48 years…”
- The Verdict: Exaggerated. U.S. inflation peaked in mid-2022 at around 9.1%. While this was the highest in roughly 40 years (since 1981), it did not reach a 48-year record, nor does it accurately reflect the current baseline of the economy leading into the midterms.
“…the wide-open borders with millions and millions of people pouring in… including criminals of all types and 11,888 murderers…”- The Verdict: Misleading. The figure of 11,888 murderers appears to be a distortion of a historical, cumulative Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) data point regarding non-citizens on the “non-detained docket.” This list spans decades and includes individuals currently serving sentences in state or federal prisons, not individuals freely roaming across a “wide-open border.”
“This week it was announced that inflation saw the largest monthly decline in more than six years.”- The Verdict: Misleading Framing. Monthly fluctuations in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) frequently occur; framing temporary dips as unprecedented economic victories over a six-year horizon standardly ignores the broader, sticky inflationary trend lines felt by consumers.
“The tax cuts in our great, big, beautiful bill… no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, and no tax on Social Security…”- The Verdict: Political Rhetoric. While these proposals have been central to his campaign and legislative rhetoric, economic analysts across the spectrum have noted that exempting overtime and tips completely from federal tax would blow a multi-trillion-dollar hole in the national debt and is highly vulnerable to exploitation by high earners reclassifying corporate income.
“Drug prices are coming down by 70, 80, and 90%. TrumpRX.gov… But the cost of healthcare is coming way down because of what we’ve done…”- The Verdict: False. While the administration has heavily pushed “most favored nation” executive actions, drug prices nationwide have not plummeted by 70% to 90% across the board. Furthermore, comprehensive independent reviews continue to show U.S. healthcare and prescription costs remain among the highest globally.
“Crime is plummeting nationwide, with the murder rate at its lowest level since 1900…”- The Verdict: False. While standard FBI data showed notable drops in violent crime following the pandemic-era spike of 2020, the national murder rate is definitively not at its lowest level since 1900. It remains well above the historic lows recorded in the 1940s and early 1950s.
Part 2: The Alleged “China 220 Million Voter Files” Breach
“The People’s Republic of China carried out what is believed to be the largest compromise of election data in history, resulting in China’s illicit acquisition of 220 million U.S. voter files.”
- The Verdict: Missing Crucial Context. While Chinese state-sponsored hackers have actively targeted U.S. infrastructure, the “220 million voter files” reference refers primarily to commercially available or publicly aggregated voter roll data. In the United States, voter registration lists (names, addresses, party affiliation) are largely public records or commercially accessible via data brokers.
“Members of the deep state in our intelligence agency worked to actively suppress and downplay information about the extent of China’s sinister election meddling…”- The Verdict: False. The U.S. intelligence community, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), and bipartisan Senate committees have consistently published unclassified reports detailing foreign influence operations. Independent probes have found no evidence of a deep-state apparatus burying actionable evidence of systemic compromise.
Part 3: Foreign Interference & Hacking Claims
“The intelligence even shows that China assigned a data exploitation unit specifically to this new project… to alter voter data…”
- The Verdict: Unsubstantiated. The U.S. intelligence community previously concluded that while actors from China, Russia, and Iran ran massive disinformation campaigns to inflame domestic political divisions, no foreign adversary successfully altered voter registration data, manipulated actual ballot tallies, or compromised vote tabulation systems during the 2020 cycle.
“The CIA obtained reporting of a specific plot to do a big number… conspiring to digitally rig their own country’s elections… in favor of the corrupt Maduro regime in Venezuela…”- The Verdict: Misapplied Context. This line revives a thoroughly debunked 2020 conspiracy theory alleging that voting machines used in the U.S. (such as Dominion or Smartmatic) were embedded with software engineered by the late Hugo Chávez to flip votes. Federal judges, intelligence reviews, and hand audits have repeatedly verified that no such foreign manipulation occurred within U.S. systems.
Part 4: Domestic Voting Processes & The SAVE America Act
“In 2020, Michigan State Police raided a Democrat ‘Get Out the Vote’ organization… some canvassers admitted to FBI agents that they signed voter registration forms in other people’s names…”
- The Verdict: Highly Misleading. This refers to a 2020 incident in Muskegon, Michigan, involving a third-party canvassing group called Giev Enterprises. Canvassers turned in batch registrations that local clerks flagged as fraudulent before they were processed. The system worked exactly as designed: the suspected fraudulent forms were caught, isolated, and investigated, meaning no illegal votes were cast or permitted.
“DHS review… identified approximately 278,000 non-citizens who are registered to vote in federal elections.”- The Verdict: False. Study after study by non-partisan election experts (including the Brennan Center) has shown that voting or registering to vote by non-citizens is vanishingly rare. Where anomalies do appear on state databases, they are almost universally traced back to administrative data-matching errors (such as a legal immigrant being misclassified after updating a driver’s license), not actual illegal registration.
“California’s recent election for Mayor of LA and Governor was held on June 2nd… but it was just completed a few days ago on July 10th… worse than any third-world country.”- The Verdict: Deceptive Framing. California deliberately allows a multi-week window to process mail-in ballots, verify signatures, and ensure that every service member stationed overseas has their ballot counted. The length of time required to meticulously audit and count millions of paper ballots is a feature of a robust audit trail, not a sign of democratic collapse or corruption.
“Addressing this crisis of election security demands that Congress must pass the SAVE America Act… The only reason you wouldn’t do it is you want to cheat.”- The Verdict: Misleading Policy Argument. The Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act would mandate proof of citizenship (like a passport or birth certificate) to register to vote nationally. Civil rights organizations and voting experts oppose the bill not to enable “cheating,” but because an estimated 21 million eligible American citizens do not possess ready access to these specific documentary proofs, meaning the law would inadvertently disenfranchise massive numbers of legal, native-born American voters.
